On Monday, January 1st, 2007, Tiny and I were invited to come along on the YOTABOYS New Year’s Snow Run on Pine Mountain. This was a treat for us since this run was in an area closed to the general public. The land is owned by private parties and you can only go there if invited by a land owner which we were.

We met up at the Tampico Fire Station. We headed up the North Fork Ahtanum Road and then up Nasty Creek Road to a private road. Right off the bat we had problems getting through the deep snow on the road. The snow was powder and very deep in areas. A lot of the rigs had very tall tires and struggled to get through the deep snow. We never made it to the cabin we were trying to get to, but we had a great time trying.

UPDATE: This was the last run the Molly Mule XJ would ever do. I ran her to hard in the powder snow and blew the head gasket on the smoking 4.0 L. The replacement engine ended up having a knock after all that work putting it together. The Molly Mule’s body was pretty beat up so we recycled the good parts onto the Tweety Jeep. R.I.P. Molly Mule!
